York Phoenix V.C take pride in their commitment to training, concentrating on fitness, posture, technique
and team positional play.

The following carefully selected photographs show these training techniques been put into practise:

Pam has chosen 'the static technique'. She has definately planted her feet! Luckily the ball has landed within her reach! Sometimes it is necessary to wave your arms about and try to fly. This may gain extra height for the block! 'Time-outs' are sometimes taken to interrupt the opponents play. Leslie has chosen here to sing a Christmas Carol to cheer the team up! Again here, Vic is concentrating on the 'plant your feet' technique! She looks to be doing well?Wendy seems to have forgotten to 'plan her feet, shoulder width appart!' Anyway, looks atheletic! If two players play the second ball at once, this often confuses the opponents. Good plan! Here Lesleyhas not only confused the opponent, but throws Wendy a punch at the same time! An even better plan!! If you're unsure as to whether you can make the block, if you proceed to dance frantically, this often distracts the opponents concentration!Vic looks in good spirits, after this time, only reaching a disappointing 8/10 on the scream counter!
And now, for the GOOD SHOTS!:-

Albert even runs his own ski school (in between his volleyball coaching!) Every one is welcome to attend:

After Albert's ski school, again we have drinks, we don't look drunk again do we?
